Math & Science Tutor
💡 Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Education, or a relevant subject area. Higher qualifications or certifications in teaching are a plus.
- Experience: Previous teaching or tutoring experience is preferred. Experience with the Singapore Secondary and/or Primary Math or Science curriculum is an advantage.
- Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, ability to explain complex concepts in a clear and understandable manner, and excellent organizational skills.
- Attributes: Patient, empathetic, and dedicated to student success. A proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to continuous professional development.
- Language: Proficiency in English is required.
- References: Prior work experience references would be an added advantage
💼 Key Role:
- Conduct Individual and Group Lessons: Deliver engaging and effective lessons to students in specific subjects, tailored to their academic needs and learning styles.
- Develop Customized Learning Plans: Create and implement individualized lesson plans and study materials to address each student’s strengths and areas for improvement.
- Assess Student Progress: Regularly evaluate and monitor student performance through assessments, tests, and feedback, and adjust teaching strategies as needed.
- Provide Support and Guidance: Offer academic support and mentorship to students, including help with homework, exam preparation, and developing effective study habits.
- Maintain Communication with Parents: Keep parents informed about their child’s progress, discuss any concerns, and provide recommendations for further improvement.
- Stay Updated on Curriculum Changes: Keep abreast of the latest educational trends, curriculum changes, and best practices in teaching.
- Create a Positive Learning Environment: Foster a supportive and motivating atmosphere that encourages student engagement and enthusiasm for learning.

- Provide exceptional customer service to parents and students.
- Handle enquiries and explain courses clearly and professionally.
- Manage student enrollments, scheduling, and administrative duties.
- Assist in HR-related tasks, including onboarding and record-keeping.
- Support the daily operations of the tuition centre.
